TO MENU SPORTING SHOOTER - APRIL The Dear only knows what sort of political stramash we shall be in by the time that you read this, but the battle between Rural Commonsense and Political Correctness will be raging hot and strong. I suspect that the view of most readers on PC will be the same as mine – that it is a load of Fascist, urban, shite. But have you ever paused to consider where this toxic tosh originated? Most of you would probably say ‘The USA’ – along with drinks that rot your teeth and double Obesity Burgers. You would be wrong. The American Intelligentsia certainly took up the idea with glee – refined it and passed it on to Islingtonia, where it became one of the keystones of NuLab thinking (if such a thing exists). This is a good moment to remind you of the dictum of Mr Balfour – a C.20th Prime Minister. He said: “Intelligence is to the Intelligentsia, what Gentleman is to Gent” – pause and chew on that for a moment. In fact the concept of ‘Politically Incorrect Thought’ was first arrived at much earlier in that Century. It was first voiced by a man called Alfred Shicklgruber. This was hardly a name that grabbed the imagination and one cannot blame him for changing it to one that was more memorable – as it might be Adolph Hitler. Anyone who was deemed guilty of ‘PIT’ was anybody who did not enthusiastically endorse Nazism and such incorrect people tended to have unpleasant things happen to them. Most Germans of that time took to PC with great enthusiasm, but why should so many Americans share that enthusiasm? Much German blood flows through American veins along with Teutonic thought processes. These same thought processes passed very easily into the minds of those who adopted NuLabism with such fervour. PC presented them with easily digested political mush – ‘Micro wave thought meals’. This rubbish, with all its nasty toxic additives, is easily regurgitated by those who are too lazy and/or too stupid to think for themselves. Most politicians and voters who support the present government fall into this category. They are an easy prey for an unpleasant and corrupt leadership. The dividing line between Nazism and NuLabism is a very thin partition. You should remember that it was Hitler who banned Hunting in Germany. The difference between Hitler and Blair is that Hitler passionately hated what he considered to be cruelty. He was a sentimental man, who even built ‘rest camps for the Jews’ and there are still Germans today (I have met some) who believe this with apparent sincerity. Blair can never be accused of sincerity. He allowed the Hunting Ban to happen through a combination of laziness (he couldn’t be bothered to think about it) and PC (which conveniently made thought unnecessary). It was also a convenient sweetie to throw to the unthinking and revolting Rumpers on the government back benches. Now with an election hull
down on the horizon he is going to have to think about it. It is up
to us – ALL OF US – to make sure that our defence of our
rural way of life and of our traditions loosen his political bowels.
